In the thirties, the V 20, a small Diesel engine with hydraulic power transmission, was developed for the German Armed Forces. 27 locos of this type survived World War II and were taken over by the DB. Until the beginning of the eighties it was used for light switching service.
For Bockholt's 20th anniversary on April 1st, 1993, the model of the V 20 was introduced as a jubilee edition. We made it as a loco of the Reichsbahn- as well as a loco of the DB.
