The E94 was an efficient further development of the E93. In 1940, the first machines were delivered by AEG and Krauss-Maffei/SSW. In 1956, the last locos of this series were delivered to the DB. In Austria, this heavy loco for freight trains was running as 1020. After World War II, the locos that remained in East Germany were designated as BR 254.

Our model of the E94 was delivered in 1983 and 1985 and was the only design we made in two distinct series. Besides different variations in paint like atlantic blue/beige of the DB or green/red as BR 254 of the DR, a few models of the ÖBB were also made in orange.
