The construction of the Ae 3/6 II based on the test loco Be 3/5. The 60 locomotives of this type were ordered for fast and standard passenger service in the flat regions of Switzerland. But it turned out later that they are so good and powerful, that they were used as pulling locomotives on the steep Gotthard ramps, beginning in the 30s.
We made the Ae 3/6 II in its original shape with brown paint and colored green with the modifications made in 1954. The latter version has mounted another type of buffers and instead of fron doors the cabs have a second door on the side of the machine.
