The locomotives of the type BR 03.10 were three cylinder machines with steamlined covering and were build for light passenger express traffic.
The loco was projected in 1935 and put into service in 1939. It was never able to prove its capacitiy because in 1939 there was almost no express traffic at the Reichsbahn anymore. Therefore the covering was removed during the following years.
Caused by the choice of an unsuitable type of steel (St. 47) for the boiler these locos all locos of this type were equipped with new boilers in the 50s at both German Railways. This caused a plenty of new variants of the type BR 03.10.
Our manufactured versions: BR 03 1020, BR 03 1014, BR 03 1073, BR 03 1010-2
