The BR 03 1014 belonged to three machines on which was not only the covering disassembled, but also door of the boiler was replaced by a new one. The original doors were flatened on their top, the new ones were completely round. In 1950 these three locomotives got a blue paint. They were used for the „Blauer Enzian“ („Blue Gentian“), one of the first better tourist trains after World War II.
