The original version of the light locomotive BR 03.10 with three cylinder for fast train services had a streamlined covering. The BR 03 1020 was the 15,000th locomotive build by the factory Borsig. Because of World War II the lower parts of the streamlined covering were quickly disassembled as for a speed limit in precaution on all German railway lines the transmission tends to overheat and the staff was handicapped by the covering in maintenance service.
At the model the front doors can be opened and give a free view onto the real boiler door which can be opened, too.
