The BR 52 was simply called the “War Locomotive”. It is a simpliconstruction optimized the time needed for manufacture and reduced the amount of metal required. The goal to save nonferrous metal was especially important and was reached. From September 1942 to April 1945 approximately 6,200 machines of this type were delivered by the thirteen companies, which were involved in the production.

We made the DR 52 001 in the shape it was when leaving the factory in 1942 and the DB 52 of the German Federal Railway. Additional we made a DRG version of the BR 52 with stabile-frame tender and one with five axeled condensation tender DR 52 1850. Moreover we offered an Austrian version, ÖBB 52 6649 with a cabin tub tender colored black with red rods and grips.
