In 1951, the first tank locomotive of BR 65 was put into service. Corresponding to the new construction schedule of the DB, it was used for suburban traffic. The last a total of 18 machines was delivered by Krauss-Maffei in 1956. Beginning in 1966, these locos were taken out of service.

We have built our models in two versions. Corresponding to the prototype they differ in the design of the feed water preheater and the design of the cab.
