In addition to the locomotives of the type BR 52 which survived World War II, the Henschel and Jung companies made some additional machines of the BR 52 type with some minor changes to the pre war locos, in order to reduce the great lack of locomotives. These locos differ in the preheater system for the feed water.
We made a model of the DB 52 891 with a mixing preheater of the Heinl system and a piston feed pump. The caster axle has spoke wheels and the color scheme is black/red, as usual for the DB.
