The Prussian S 6 / BR 13 was designed by KPEV for light express train service in plane surface.

Since 1906 were built 286 machines and put into service. Later followed a take-over by DRG were it worded from now on under the name BR 13. Between 1923 and 1928 the machines were rejected.

On the basis of high transport capacity requirement during world war II some machines were re-activated.
